NOTICE TO ALL CAMPTON TAXPAYERS

The appraisal company of Commerford Nieder Perkins, LLC (CNP) has completed the four year process of measuring of the exterior of all the improved properties within the Town of Campton for the 2009 tax year.  They have measured the buildings and estimated the interior information as best they could from the outside.  It is important that all the information about your property be as accurate as possible.

They have now begun the callback procedure to procure interior inspections of as many properties as possible to assure accuracy in the assessments throughout the Town.  The purpose of the interior inspection is to determine the quality of the materials used to construct the home and assess the overall condition, as well as verify the data collected, such as number of bedrooms and bathrooms.

For the property owners’ convenience some evening and Saturday hours will be available.  The inspections are set at specific times when you call the appraiser’s office to make your appointment.  The appointment overall only takes about ten minutes.

When you receive your letter from CNP please call the phone number to schedule an appointment.  The letter will detail the days you can call and the days that are available for appointments.

The completion of the revaluation:

Once the interior inspections are completed and prior to the completion of the project in October, a preliminary notice will be mailed to you with your updated assessment.  This value should reflect market value as of April 1, 2009.   This notice will include a telephone number to call should you wish to review your assessment with a CNP representative.    Also during this time period, the State’s Department of Revenue will have personnel out monitoring the work done by CNP, and they will be out reviewing properties as well.  They will be driving cars that identify them as State of New Hampshire DRA employees.
